Brian Witlin, Co-Founder and CEO
Brian Witlin is a serial entrepreneur who integrates his role of running ShopWell while holding a Lecturer position at Stanford University's Hasso Platner Institute of Design. Prior to joining ShopWell, Brian served as Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at IDEO, a global innovation and design firm, where he incubated new business concepts and led ShopWell through its series A financing. Previously, Brian co-founded Golaces, LLC, a product company acquired by a publicly traded footwear company and also co-founded LeverWorks, a software development consultancy acquired by LEO Media (now Quasar Strategies). Brian holds a M.S. in Engineering and Design from Stanford University and a B.S. in Business and Economics from Lehigh University. Brian is a classically trained artist/draftsman, an avid cyclist, and has a love for his hometown Chicago-style hotdogs and deep-dish pizza.
Scott Golubock, Head of Engineering
As Head of Engineering, Scott oversees software development and operations. Scott brings to ShopWell more than 14 years of experience leading teams and building software in both the consumer and enterprise spaces. Prior to ShopWell, Scott served as Director of Engineering at Vignette, Trusera, and Epicentric. Scott also served various engineering roles at Expedia, Inc., Helio (acquired by Virgin Mobile USA, then Sprint-Nextel), Safeway, Inc., and Andersen Consulting. Scott holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University. Scott secretly hopes that his efforts at ShopWell will lead to the creation of potato chips that reduce both blood pressure and cholesterol.
Marci Harnischfeger, M.S., R.D., Head Dietitian
In this role, Marci is responsible for all ShopWell nutrition, health and food-science research and content. Marci is a registered dietitian, chef, and educator. Marci has a passion for teaching and public speaking to diverse nutritional communities, and most recently taught Nutrition Science as an instructor at Carrington College. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University, a B.A. in Linguistics and Geography from Northwestern University, and is a graduate of the Accelerated Culinary Arts Program at the Culinary Institute of America. Marci loves all things tea, grocery store tours, and the challenge of making healthy meals from an almost empty pantry.
Chipwich Woodland Witlin, CCO
Chipwich Woodland Witlin, a.k.a., "Chippy" the dog, is the founding Chief Cuteness Officer (CCO) of ShopWell. He is named after the famous Chipwich ice cream sandwich enjoyed on the east coast. Chippy's duties include keeping a vigilant watch over visitors and anyone with treats or a ball. He keeps his combat skills sharp by chasing leaves in the parking lot next to ShopWell and playing with his good buddy, Jeff Patterson. In his spare time, Chippy enjoys chasing, playing, sleeping, lounging, and napping. He has a weakness for a good bone.
